Software Configuration Management

This is an area which have not yet found a place in computer science carriculam. However, after I strted my career as developer, I came across a tool 'clearcase' which later on became my bread & butter.

I started my career as a developer, only to find out that I am not a developer but a maintainer. I was not even writing code in any known languages. neither did I used any logic. more than the project i worked for, I liked the tool I used for version control. It was clearcase.

I found opportunity to write wrapper scripts using perl, at the same time helped developers to resolve problems they encountered with clearcase usage.
